Maryland & Virginia’s 2022 Leadership Conference & Annual Meeting will be March 29 – 30 at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Maryland.
March 29 will feature an exciting day of learning the latest on dairy industry opportunities including consumer trends and our Maola brand, the latest on animal care, and what’s happening for dairy on Capitol Hill. We’ll close out our day with a dinner featuring keynote remarks from Tara Vander Dussen, popularly known as the New Mexico Milkmaid.
Tara is a New Mexico native, growing up on her family dairy farm in Eastern New Mexico, an environmental scientist, consulting on agricultural projects for more than 10 years, and she dairy farms with her husband, Daniel, and two young daughters. Tara’s passion is advocating for modern dairy farming by sharing her story about life on her family dairy through her blog, New Mexico Milkmaid, and her social media platforms. By using her voice, she hopes to change people’s perceptions of farmers and dairy farming. New Mexico Milkmaid now has a community of more than 60,000 followers. And she has had the opportunity to speak at national and global conferences about dairy sustainability including at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization Committee on World Food Security and the Forbes AgTech Summit.
On March 30 we will conduct our formal business meeting where you will learn and influence important business operations. The business meeting will be held in a hybrid manner, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.
