RESTON, VIRGINIA – Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for its annual scholarship program. The cooperative will award five $1,000 scholarships and – thanks to generous contributions from members, staff, industry partners and supporters – is able to award additional scholarships to deserving students.
Scholarships are available to students pursuing a career in the dairy industry. To be eligible for a Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers scholarship, students must be the son, daughter, or employee of a current co-op member or the son or daughter of a Maryland & Virginia employee. They must also be enrolled at a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or trade school.
The deadline for applications is Friday, February 17, 2017. Winners will be selected based on their responses to essay questions, financial need, leadership activities and their career aspirations.
