July 15, 2019, Reston, Virginia – Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative joins dairy organizations across the country in supporting July as National Ice Cream Month.
Nothing satisfies on a hot day like a cool ice cream cone. Our member farms are selling their fresh desserts throughout the region. When you stop at the Moo Thru when you’re heading down Route 28 in Remington, Virginia or grab a pint of Howling Cow at Harris Teeter, you’re supporting local farmers – and getting some of the best ice cream anywhere.
“We’re making great flavors from our best-selling chocolate to Willie Nelson’s Whiskey Caramel. It’s fresh, local, and supporting Virginia farmers,” said Ken Smith, owner-operator of the Moo Thru.
